Rustic Industrial Cable Reel Cascade Chandelier
Our rustic cascade chandeliers are designed and handcrafted in our Devon Studio. Each hanging light fixture is individual, designed to fit your space and enhance your interior. Our made to measure service ensures your chandelier fits perfectly with minimal adjustments needed.
These spectacular chandeliers are made from industrial cable reel ends. Each is unique and offers rustic industrial charm to any space. Particularly suited to high ceiling spaces such as entry ways and staircases as well as open plan living.
Cable reels are available in 80cm, 90cm and 1m diameter. We will discuss the perfect size reel for your space when finalising your design details.
Weight: cable reels can be quite heavy, the chandelier often tipping the scales at around 20kgs. The fixings that we send will be appropriate for the weight of the reel. This fixture must be affixed to timber joists.
Colour Choices: Cables, Components and Timber finish:
You choose the exact piece of timber that we use for your fixture. We will send you photos and videos for your approval. We can stain the timber and have a range of stains available. If you would like to tone in with current furniture, please send us photos of your home (in daylight with no direct sun) so that we can choose the best match. We will then do colour tests on the top of your chosen timber and send you photographs and video for your approval. You also choose the cable colours - we have over 200 choices of Italian fabric covered cable, and component style and colour - from modern to traditional. We finalise all of these choices with you as part of the design process.
Maximum lengths included in the fixture price:
Up to 50cm from the top of the timber to the ceiling, and 1m of cable drop below the fixture is included in the price.
50cm chain + timber depth + 1m cable + bulb length = max drop
Should you need a longer drop, please get in touch for a custom quote. Additional chain is priced at £15 per m, and cable £6 per m.
Bulbs:
Bulbs are not included as they vary in price depending on the size, shape, and colour that you choose. We would be happy to try different bulbs in the finished fixture and send you photos before you make your final decision.
Lead time and shipping:
This design is made to measure, we will be in touch as soon as you place your order to work out the finer details such as cable and component colours. Our lead time varies depending how busy we are, if you have a time constraint, please check our current lead time on our client area page before placing your order.
From the client area you will see how many orders we have in progress and updates on lead times. When we receive your order, you will be added to the client queue, and you will be able to check back and see progress of your order.
Measurements:
We will need some measurements from you to design and make your fixture.
- Ceiling height
- Dimensions of the furniture below the fixture or tell us if it needs to clear head height.
- Height of the tallest person in the house.
We can then draw a scale plan for you to agree before we begin wiring your fixture.

Botanical Prints: From Pressed Specimens To Contemporary Wallpaper
Botanical illustration began as scientific documentation, artists translating three-dimensional plants into flat images serving both informational and aesthetic purposes. This exploration traces the journey from pressed herbarium specimens and watercolour expeditions to contemporary wallpaper, examining how printing techniques evolved from copperplate engraving through William Morris' screen printing to digital reproduction whilst maintaining essential character: beauty emerging from accuracy rather than imposed upon it.

Woven Ground: The Cultural Geography of Handmade Rugs
Handwoven rugs carry geography in their fibres. The wool came from specific mountains where specific plants fed specific sheep; the dyes derive from regional botanicals; the patterns preserve cultural memory encoded in visual language. From Persian workshop medallions to Berber mountain abstractions to Scandinavian restraint, each tradition represents centuries of accumulated knowledge, techniques refined through generations. This investigation explores how materials shaped by landscape, methods passed like recipes, and patterns carrying meaning beyond decoration create the ground beneath our feet.
