Felt can be made of natural fibers like wool or synthetic fibers like wood pulp-based rayon. Felt making is said to come to India from Iran and Turkey. Decoratives and toys made from felt came into existence about 10 years ago, thus their shapes have taken a modern twist to keep up with growing demand.
